Goldman starts Holcim with 'Buy' - target 75 francs
NEW YORK (dpa-AFX Analyst) - US investment bank Goldman Sachs has initiated its "buy" rating on Holcim shares, with a price target of CHF 75. The supply and demand situation in the European building materials industry has changed, wrote new analyst Ben Rada Martin on Thursday. Supply is becoming tighter and margins are tightening with more rational pricing. Furthermore, the outlook for demand has brightened. The expert expects Holcim to achieve sustained earnings growth until 2030./ag/gl

Berenberg lowers target for Holcim to CHF 55 - 'Hold'
HAMBURG (dpa-AFX Analyst) - Private bank Berenberg has lowered its price target for Holcim from CHF 92 to CHF 55, but maintained its rating at "Hold." Analyst Harry Goad lowered the price target in a study published Monday in response to the spin-off of the North American business under the new name Amrize. As a result, estimates for the building materials producer's recurring operating profit from 2025 to 2027 would fall by an average of 43 percent./bek/gl

Barclays upgrades Holcim from 'Underweight' to 'Overweight'
LONDON (dpa-AFX Analyst) - British investment bank Barclays has raised its price target for Holcim shares from 84 to 109 Swiss francs, placing them well above the market price again. Accordingly, expert Tom Zhang raised his rating by two notches from "underweight" to "overweight" in the reassessment published on Tuesday. The building materials giant's shares have clearly lagged their European competitors in their rally since last November. Zhang believes this is unjustified. Considering the sum of all the group's divisions, there is now significant potential. This is especially true for the remaining core following the spin-off of the North American business. Here, they are benefiting from the recovery and market consolidation in Europe./ag/ajx

JPMorgan upgrades Holcim to 'Overweight' - target CHF 108
NEW YORK (dpa-AFX Analyst) - US bank JPMorgan has upgraded Holcim from "Neutral" to "Overweight" and raised its price target from CHF 81 to CHF 108. Analyst Elodie Rall is optimistic about the building materials company, according to her outlook for the coming year published on Wednesday. Her operating earnings estimates are significantly above the consensus, more so than in years. Her top pick is Heidelberg Materials, which has recently appeared on the "Analyst Focus List." But the assessment also suggests a more positive assessment for Holcim./ag/th
