Bernstein maintains Nel at 'Market-Perform' - Target 7 crowns
NEW YORK (dpa-AFX Analyst) - US analyst firm Bernstein Research has maintained a "Market-Perform" rating on Nel ASA with a price target of 7 Norwegian kroner. In response to the challenging business environment, electrolysis providers are increasingly focusing on cash management, analyst Yoann Charenton wrote in a report published Tuesday. He noted that the Norwegian hydrogen specialist has announced plans to intensify its savings efforts. Nel is therefore adjusting production capacity utilization and workforce levels to market demand, thus following management's forecast of halving capital expenditures by 2025 compared to the previous year./ck/bek

Goldman lowers Nel to 'Neutral' - target halved to 3 crowns
NEW YORK (dpa-AFX Analyst) - US investment bank Goldman Sachs has downgraded Nel ASA from "Buy" to "Neutral" and halved its price target to 3 Norwegian kroner. Development in the green hydrogen sector remains below expectations given the continued sluggish awarding of new contracts and the cancellation of reserved production capacities, wrote analyst Michele della Vigna in an industry commentary on the current quarter published on Monday. This is due to regulatory uncertainty in the key US and EU markets, uncertainties regarding infrastructure and networks, and high interest rates. Global demand is lower than he previously expected, which is why he is lowering his forecasts for existing production capacities. The expert prefers competitor Industrie De Nora, which continues to be rated "Buy," due to its lower-risk business model. He rates Thyssenkrupp Nucera as "Neutral."/gl/bek

RBC maintains Nel at 'Outperform' - Target 12 crowns
NEW YORK (dpa-AFX Analyst) - Canadian bank RBC has maintained its rating for Nel ASA at "outperform" with a price target of 12 Norwegian kroner. Hy Stor Energy's decision to cancel the gigawatt of alkaline electrolyzers it reserved in April calls into question the hydrogen specialist's growth prospects in the US, analyst Erwan Kerouredan wrote in his commentary on Tuesday. However, the expert does not see the reasons for this as being related to Nel, but rather to delays in projects related to the IRA investment package in the USA./ag/la
