Bernstein maintains 'Outperform' rating on Visa - target $378
NEW YORK (dpa-AFX Analyser) - US analyst firm Bernstein Research has maintained its "Outperform" rating on Visa with a price target of $378. Analyst Harshita Rawat noted in a study published Thursday that the Financial Times had reported that Open AI is integrating a checkout system into ChatGPT, allowing users to complete their purchases within the platforms without leaving the conversation. Participating merchants would pay a commission for this—likely a combination of affiliate fees and possibly payment processing fees. This would not be surprising, she continued, and sees "agentive commerce" as an "unprecedented change in how commerce and payments are conducted." Credit card providers could be among the winners.
