    About Samantha McLemore

    Samantha McLemore has been active in the financial market for over two decades.
    Together with renowned value investor Bill Miller, she has over 20 years of experience navigating significant market cycles and sentiment swings.

    In 2020, Samantha founded Patient Capital Management, LLC, where she serves as Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager for Patient Partners LP.

    In spring 2023, Patient Capital acquired Miller Value Partners Opportunity Equity strategy, a multi-billion dollar strategy spanning an investment fund and separate accounts. Samantha co-managed Opportunity Equity with Bill Miller at Miller Value Partners and assumed sole management responsibility in 2023.

    Samantha began her career as an analyst at Legg Mason Capital Management. In 2019, 2020, and 2021, Samantha received Sauren Gold Medals for Excellence in Fund Management. In 2017, she was named one of Baltimores 40 Under 40. Samantha has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Barrons, and other media outlets. Samantha has spoken at conferences hosted by Columbia University, the CFA Society New York, and 100 Women in Finance. She received her CFA certification in 2005 and graduated magna cum laude from Washington & Lee University.

    Samantha serves as Chair of the Board of Improving Education, a non-profit organization focused on early childhood literacy, on the Board of the Next Generation Investing Event, which raises money for a number of educational institutions in Baltimore, and on the Board of Trustees of Washington & Lee University.
